Our Vision

To become national leaders at amplifying the voice of women entrepreneurs in Tanzania

Our Mission

Sustainably develop the socio-economic performance of women entrepreneurs and girls by improving their economic and social freedom position and bring a woman based economic revolution in Tanzania

Our Story

VoWET (Voice of Women Entrepreneurs in Tanzania) is a dynamic not for profit women partnership that seeks to revolutionize the way women do business in Tanzania. Through advocacy, capacity building and networking, the organization will harness women power for nationwide economic transformation and empowerment.

The body is a result of the organization of women groups by Maida Waziri since 2005 when the informal Muungano Group was born. In 2008 the group became formal and was transformed into Muungano Women Segerea Saccos and registered under Cooperatives Act. In 2014, members of the saccos came up with Voice of Women Entrepreneurs Tanzania (VoWET) as a platform for women empowerment at national level.
